California, in the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains,
looking to the south and west over
La Canada and the Los Angeles basin. At left center, the
view is over the mountains towards Long Beach. To the right, the view is over Santa Monica, and to the horizon on the Pacific
ocean.
If the weather is hazy or bright, that's what you will see.
Many days in summer have a hazy marine layer.
Many days in winter are clear.
We are at 2000 feet elevation.
